My name is Cara, and I’m a Houston-based actor and barista.
I have been a part of the professional coffee scene on and off for the last four years, and hope to bring joy and hospitality to any space, any event.
I fell in love with storytelling and performing at a very young age in church plays and community theatre. There’s something ethereal about gathering and making something with those around you.
When I moved to Houston, my hope was and is to do just that: be a part of gathering and make something beautiful.
While being onstage fills my cup in many ways, so does serving and creating for others. With Interlude, I hope to bring my two worlds together in ways that encourage community, creativity, and all-around make some delicious drinks!

An interlude provides a pause.
An intermission to breathe, relax, and, for many artists, prepare for the scene to come.
My vision for this coffee cart is to provide that breath, that little moment to pause and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and the company that comes with it.
